There were some good things said about this mower and some not so good things said. The majority of reviewers on Amazon like the simplicity of the mower as well as how easy it is to set up. One reviewer stated that it is a rare find and that they love the Mow Joe. They said they have never been more thrilled with the results and would recommend this mower to all their neighbors because of the fantastic results.
Many people that gave this a high rating have smaller plots of land which makes this an ideal choice for most of them. Another consumer mentioned that after they had purchased the Mow Joe, they read some of the negative comments and it caused a bit of concern. After it arrived however, the reviewer put it together with no problems at all. Upon plugging it in, it fired right up. This particular reviewer also said that its a fantastic little mower, and the bag is easy to empty and replace. The whole machine is lightweight and is perfect for their little lawn.
It is also efficient, with no gas fumes to breathe in and it is easy to store. On top of that, it even mows wet grass with ease, although you will probably need to keep the bag empty for the best cutting results. Still others feel that it is a great concept if you have a small yard and a small shed. It even does a good job of cutting edges along the walls and fences that would otherwise be hard to reach with larger mowers.
On the downside, some reviewers were unfortunate enough to have the mower stop working after only using it a few times. Some found it hard to get started and after pushing the reset button, it still wouldn't start. Another reviewer stated that this lawn mower simply DOES NOT WORK. They literally had to lift the mower off the ground to get the motor to turn the blade. Even after adjusting it to the highest setting.
After painstakingly cutting through the yard on the highest setting, it was adjusted to the middle setting to attempt to get a deeper cut. The lawn mower ended up tripping the circuit breaker even though the grass wasn't that thick. Needless to say, this reviewer came to the conclusion that they could cut the lawn faster with a weed whacker, and they will need to find a bigger lawn mower.
It seems that there are some mowers that have some problems with both the engine as well as the plastic shell. Some were delivered even though the hole that the handle fits into isn't big enough. Others feel that the lawn mower is flimsy and simply isn't worth purchasing.
Although it did get a fairly good amount of positive reviews, there are some potential issues that people need to be aware of. Only purchase this lawn mower if you have a small yard, and are okay with the possibility of getting a lawn mower that might not work when you plug it in.
