Installing string trees on a strat?
I am making a partscaster and am getting a Mighty Mite maple neck but it doesn't look like it has holes drilled for string trees. How would I go about installing the butterfly ones from GFS (guitar fetish) Okay so how would I install them? WINNER GETS 10 POINTS!!!

If your guitar neck does not require string trees then it is not only unnecessary, but it is an additional friction point which can make your guitar go out of tune with string bends or tremolo use. Some newer necks have headstocks which are angled back enough that a string tree is not necessary.
In any event, if you do want to install a string tree, you should predrill the hole. The placement of a tree should be appromixately halfway between the tuning pegs and the nut.
