The Taylor 314ce – What A Stunner
The Taylor 314ce is one very lovely looking guitar. Many guitars are designed to be practical. Some are built to look good. All ground is covered and more with this stunner. When you see this guitar on stage it truly shines like a star. And if you’re just jamming in your room at home, then make sure you catch its reflection in something.
This is one very good-looking instrument. The woods used in its design as well as some other excellent choices have made for one classy looking guitar. The Sitka spruce top and African mahogany back have been given a beautiful satin finish. This is completed with a lovely ebony bridge and fret board. A gloss top, pearl inlays and chrome Taylor tuners add to its class. All in all, this guitar looks very nice on stage.
The Taylor 314ce is a beautifully designed guitar. It is shaped as a Grand Auditorium Cutaway. There are many benefits to this shape and size. For the sound, it adds fullness and voice. Compared to the dreadnaught and Jumbo design, it is probably a little better. It is a lot more exhausting playing these types of guitars than the grand auditorium design.
The Taylor 314-ce is beautifully constructed for great sound and ease of play. The body is excellently built. Sitka spruce makes the top of the guitar. The backs and sides are made from African mahogany. The classic, famous Taylor tone is achieved through this combination of wood. The fret-board and neck are considerately crafted to make for a guitar that is very easy to hold. This in turn increases ease in play and many claim this improves your playing. The strings are also very perfectly spaced to allow equally for fingerstyle and flapicking. This gives the guitar some added versatility.
The Taylor 314ce has a very specific sound. Many love the sound of this guitar. It has the classic Taylor sound but with a little something extra. It has been described as having a more modern, rock acoustic sound. It contains a mid-range of clarity and a balanced treble range. The bass is not at all booming but it is indeed very full.
This guitar has a very good pickup system in the Expression Electronics System. They give a more natural sound than piezo or magnetic pickup systems. The system is incredibly sensitive thanks to its tone controls and dynamic sensors. This sensitivity allows them to almost perfectly capture string vibrations. Furthermore, its extreme sensitivity means it also picks up sounds from the top of the guitar. They are excellent for live on stage antics.
Its should be clear from the credentials above that the Taylor 314 is not just a looker. Many designs fill its tech spec list. Very easy to play and excellent sound, to name but a few. These features will fade to black though once you get stuck gazing at this lovely guitar.
