I have a Taylor 214 and am wanting to put an acoustic pickup in it, recommendations?
I'm thinking about getting an LR Baggs iBeam. I've read a lot of good things about it, but am not definite.
ok, the "aggie" says i ought to tell you what kind of sound i'm looking for. some of my main influences are DMB, G. Love & Special Sauce, Ryan Adams, Incubus, U2, Wilco, and Weezer. I'm looking for a full bodied, rich acoustic sound. I'd prefer not to get some crappy piezo. I want a pickup that responds well to medium to heavy strumming, but still sounds natural enough for fingerpicking.

It depends on the sound you're looking for... a copy of musician's friend or possibly a salesman at your local music shop should be able to help you. Just think about the kinda music you like to play, some artists who inspire you or whose sound you favor. hope this helps
