New Innovations In Travel Portable Adventure Kayaking
Kayaking is a sport anyone can fall in love with. I have paddled all over in hardshell kayaks for years until recently where my airline miles exploded and my job keeps me moving around the country. I generally had to leave my 12 plus foot hardshell kayak at home. Being a career traveler at the moment, I had to moved out of the house I was never at to get an apartment close by, and then call a hotel home when I'm on the job. Getting an apartment meant not having a garage, and that left little to no room for my 13 plus foot Current Design kayak. So I had to hang up my hat and my hardshell kayak along with it. (Tear) I ended up offering it to my brother. It was like giving your favorite toy away. So I had no choice but to give up my favorite hobby for a while.
And that is when I found out about Inflatable kayaks from Advanced Elements. There are a ton of inflatable kayaking manufacturers, Sea Eagle, Aris, Harmony...but Advanced Elements really seemed to be my answered prayer. They had an entire line of state of the art inflatable kayaks that looked awesome! You can pack up and deflate and inflate these kayaks in about 5 minutes and store it in your little car and it is very apartment friendly. I certainly couldn't wait to take a closer look! I was already sold, but still I wasn't expecting hardshell performance. Getting into one; you don't want to stop paddling in it. It's a great performing and comfortable ride. There was no difference, and with their backbone accessory you actually feel like you are paddling in a hardshell kayak. At once point I met a dealer on a business trip and I got to test a few of these babies out. And I can be honest, they are impressive and stand apart in a league of their own.
Due to being inflatable, these kayaks don't flinch when you pack on the extra pounds, making it great for um...taller kayakers. I enjoy being able to take a grip of gear, and with an inflatable you can do that. You can't sink an inflatable kayak, it is filled with air. A hard-shell can lose buoyancy if it gets over filled with water or if you fail to roll it correctly. Inflatables floats easier on the water due to its inflatable nature and like I said they do this and remain portable.
Kayaks of the hardshell type are constructed of hard plastic, or specially made fiberglass materials making them very hard and resistant. And this had always gave me piece of mind when I was kayaking in rough areas. Looking closely you see Advanced Elements Anti-Puncture and tear resistant material was made to last in nearly any condition you would put your kayak through. That's why they come with a full year replacement warranty. And the high psi pressure you inflate these kayaks is very intense. I like pumping up the volume here because it makes these kayaks rock hard and rugged and ready to go. Getting the optional backbone you have a really ridged frame for support, do you need it, no but understand I'm definitely top performance minded here and the backbone delivers top peak performance in the inflatable kayak area. Making them resemble skin on frame folding kayaks. It improves tracking, turning, and makes the kayak feel more responsive from my experience. I'm telling you portability is paramount. Writing this I just want to tell you. As a diehard kayaking fan, and instructor you can't go wrong with a quality inflatable kayak. Advanced Elements makes some good ones, Aris makes some quality portable kayaks as well. Shop around, even Sea Eagle has some impressive innovative inflatables if you like sit on top kayaks. The best point is you can take these kayaks anywhere! Everywhere in the entire world!
Last Thing: My final choice of Advanced Elements Kayaks landed on the Advanced Elements AdvanceFrame Kayak. Been kayaking with her for 3 months now. Thank you all for reading, and go kayaking!

Help identify a ski jacket/hardshell!?!?!?
I saw this guy that had a thin softshell jacket on today and I love it. Im trying to figure out what brand it is. It was light blue, kinda looked like an arcteryx but it wasnt. The shell was some sort of gore tex or similar. It looked very expensive. It had a thin digital design on the front and it had two chest zip pockets with the shiny stuff around the zippers(gore tex maybe?)
it also looked european.
The brand started with a "g" (I think) and there was writing towards the bottom right side of the jacket. Please help! heres my email if you have any ideas...newport20_20@yahoo.com
Answer:
Hmm that's going to be hard to figure out. One brand that's kind of digital looking that starts with G would be Ground, and they have a weird little logo. Does that logo look familiar at all?
