The elusive bass is probably the most cherished fish to catch, both with the battle the fish puts forth and its delectable flavor. A very important factor to remember with regards to fishing for largemouth bass is the fact that both largemouth and smallmouth bass like cover. Some kinds of "bass fishing cover" would include: lily pads, submerged trees or brush, flooded creek beds, and drop offs. This bass lure is very effective when fished over and through weed beds or other places that live frogs are found. Many of these artificial frogs are amazing largemouth bass baits.
It's obvious that any really serious bass fisherman needs both kinds of lures in their tacklebox. Fishing conditions change from lake-to-lake, so you need to ensure that you have the right arsenal for each lake condition you could come across.

Bass Pedal - most popular effects for bassists?
So my friend is a bassist and i want to get him an effect pedal for his bass, but as im a guitarist i dont really know what type of effects bass players tend to go for.
so what are the most popular/preferred pedals/ effects among bass players?

Depends on what he's into. If he's kind of a rocker, I'd go with a distortion pedal. If he plays funk or like drum and bass stuff, maybe look into a synth, wah, or envelope filter pedal. If he does crazy tapping or anything with chords, you could try like a delay or chorus pedal.
Probably your safest bet for a cool bass sound would be a synth/wah pedal. I own one from digitech that I like a lot, and I know both Ibanez and Boss make their versions too. You should do a little research and see which one sounds like the one he would like the best.
